Managing Estimate Sort Fields & Codes

Within a project in Ediphi, you have the ability to manage estimate sort fields and the codes within these sort fields.

Sort Fields

Create an Estimate Sort Field:

  1. Within your My Projects page, hover your cursor over a project and click on the ellipses located on the far right of your screen, and then select Manage Estimates Sort Fields.

  1. A pop-up window will appear; click on Create Estimate Sort Field.

  1. You will be required to fill out a Name, a Key, and add a Quantifier UoM if applicable.
  2. Click on Save.

Edit an Estimate Sort Field:

  1. Within your My Projects page, hover your cursor over a project and click on the ellipses located on the far right of your screen, and then select Manage Estimates Sort Fields.

  1. For Sort Fields you have created, you will see a Pencil button next to them, which will allow you to edit them. Click on this button.

  1. You will be able to edit the Name, the Key, and the Quantifier UoM.
  2. Once you are done editing, click on Save.

Duplicate an Estimate Sort Field:

  1. Within your My Projects page, hover your cursor over a project and click on the ellipses located on the far right of your screen, and then select Manage Estimates Sort Fields.

  1. For Sort Fields you have created, you will see a Pencil button next to them. Click on this button.

  1. Click on Duplicate Sort Field.

  1. A pop up will appear, where you’ll be able to choose under which project you would like to duplicate this Sort Field to. Select the preferred project, and then click Duplicate.

  1. The platform will then take you to that project where the duplicate Sort Field has been created.

Delete an Estimate Sort Field:

  1. Within your My Projects page, hover your cursor over a project and click on the ellipses located on the far right of your screen, and then select Manage Estimates Sort Fields.

  1. For Sort Fields you have created, you will see a Pencil button next to them. Click on this button.

  1. Click on Delete Sort Field. The platform will ask you to confirm that you want to delete this Sort Field. Click Confirm.

Please note that deleting a Sort Field will remove it from all line items within that project, and after deleting it cannot be reverted.

Sort Codes

Adding Sort Codes to a Sort Field:

  1. Within your My Projects page, hover your cursor over a project and click on the ellipses located on the far right of your screen, and then select Manage Estimates Sort Fields.

  1. For Sort Fields you have created, you will see a Pencil button next to them, which will allow you to edit them. Click on this button.

  1. Click on Manage Sort Codes.

  1. Click on Add Sort Code.

  1. You will be required to fill out the Code, the Description, and add a Quantifier if applicable.
  2. Click on Save.

Importing Sort Codes to a Sort Field:

  1. Within your My Projects page, hover your cursor over a project and click on the ellipses located on the far right of your screen, and then select Manage Estimates Sort Fields.

  1. For Sort Fields you have created, you will see a Pencil button next to them, which will allow you to edit them. Click on this button.

  1. Click on Manage Sort Codes.

  1. Click on Import Sort Codes.
  2. You will have the option of downloading a Sample CSV (or JSON) that you can use to tailor the list of codes you’d like to import. Once your .csv or .json file matches that of the sample, you can proceed to import them to the platform, which will then add the codes in bulk.

Deleting Sort Codes on a Sort Field:

  1. Within your My Projects page, hover your cursor over a project and click on the ellipses located on the far right of your screen, and then select Manage Estimates Sort Fields.

  1. For Sort Fields you have created, you will see a Pencil button next to them, which will allow you to edit them. Click on this button.

  1. Click on Manage Sort Codes.

  1. You will see a list of all the current Sort Codes within that Sort Field. Simply click on the Trash Can icon next to the code you’d like to delete.
