Versions Feature
In this article
Creating a Version
- To save a version, go to the top right of your screen and under Versions, select Create Version.

- A pop-up will appear, where you'll have the option to give your Version a Label (required). Once done, click Save.

You can now proceed to make the changes on your estimate knowing that you have a “backup” in case you ever need to go back to that point in time.
Version History
If at any point you want to view all the Versions for your estimate, you can go to the top right of your screen and under Versions, select Version History.

A modal will appear on the right side of your screen, showing you a list of all your created Versions. Here you have the ability to filter between All Versions, User created Versions, or Auto-generated Versions.

Note: Ediphi automatically creates a Version when someone deletes a System, Use Group, or restores a previous Version in an estimate. These are the "Auto-generated" Versions.
Edit Version Label
- Click on the more menu (ellipsis) of the Version you want to edit, and select Edit Version Label.

- A modal will appear, where you’ll be able to edit the Label. Once edited, click Save.

Create Estimate from Version
- Click on the more menu (ellipsis) of the Version you want to edit, and select Create Estimate from Version.

- You will get a confirmation banner on the top right once the new estimate is created in your project. Click on Open Estimate to access the estimate created from the Version.

Restore
- Click on the more menu (ellipsis) of the Version you want to edit, and select Restore.

- A modal will appear asking you to confirm that you want to proceed. Click Restore.

Pro Tip: If you restore a previous Version in your estimate, you’ll see a new Version automatically created by the platform with the name "Before reverting to v(number)", capturing what was done before you restored (just in case you ever need to go back).
