Versions Feature
The Versions feature can be an extremely useful tool if your project is going through designing iterations, or if you’re making any major changes to any of your estimates.
For example, say you have copied a pre-existing estimate to use as your base case for a new project. Perhaps the general requirements are just a bit off for this project, and you would like to delete the entire section and start fresh. Nervous that those changes could delete important calculations or remove customized line items, it’s best practice to save a Version before making any of those big edits.

Saving a Version
To save a Version, go to the top right of your screen and under Versions, select Create Version.
You will see a green notification appear noting that the Version has been created. We can then go into Load Version to name our Version if needed; the most recent Version will always be at the top (but you can always verify by the created/updated date). Click on the Label box to add a name.
Once you add a name, you can click outside of it so that it saves (you will see a notification confirming the update). You can now proceed to make the changes on your estimate knowing that you have a “backup” in case anything goes wrong.
Loading a Version
If at any point you want to bring back that Version you took, you can go to the top right of your screen and under Snapshot, select Load Version.
You can then click on the blue checkbox right next to your saved Version, and then Confirm to load it up. Please note that when loading a Version, any changes that you’ve made since that Version was saved will then be reverted.
If you would like to revert back to your previous edits before you reverted to your Version, you can always go back to Load Version and you’ll see a new Version that was automatically created by the platform with the name "Before reverting to v(number)", capturing what was done before you reverted to your Version. Click on the blue checkbox and then Confirm you want to load this Version, and it will take you back to that version before you loaded your Snapshot, but after you saved it previously.
Note: Ediphi will automatically create a version when a user deletes a System, Use Group, or reverts to a previous version.
