Grouping
Within the Estimate tab of your project's estimate in Ediphi, you have the option to customize the display of your line items in the Schedule of Values, Detailed Summary, and/or Markups using the Grouping feature.
The Grouping functionality provides users with the capability to classify line items based on their company's sorting criteria, including Use Groups, Alternates, Systems, MasterFormat, UniFormat, Bid Packages, among others.
The Grouping feature can be located at the top right corner of the screen when viewing the Schedule of Values, Detailed Summary, and/or Markups tabs within your estimate. It is worth noting that while the Schedule of Values and Markups tab only permit sorting by one Grouping at a time, the Detailed Summary tab offers the flexibility to add a total of four Groupings (1 main group + 3 subgroups), enabling a more comprehensive and detailed summary analysis. For example:
Say you want to view the line items of your Detailed Summary initially by Use Groups, and then within these Use Groups you want to see them sorted by Bid Package and MasterFormat, respectively. All you need to do is select the Groupings in the order you want to see them, and they'll get automatically grouped:
It's worth noting that the platform automatically preserves this grouping view for you. Therefore, even if you navigate away from the page or switch to a different project, your estimate will retain its organization with the line items sorted according to your previously selected grouping.
Pro Tip: Just want to have one Grouping in the Detailed Summary and no Subgroups? Simply select the "No Subgroup" option in the extra grouping boxes, and they'll get automatically removed:
