Filtering Line Items

In Ediphi, you have the ability to filter and/or select line items in your estimate to easily tell the amount of line items covered within that filter/selection, as well as the total sum of its totals. Here are the different ways to filter line items.

Selecting Line Items

To select several line items at once, click on one of the line items you want to select, then hold down the Shift button in your keyboard. You will then be able to scroll the page and click in the cells either above or below the currently selected line item to highlight multiple line items at once:

Once you have selected the line items, you will see at the bottom a "Selected" section, which will show you the amount of line items selected, the sum of its totals, and the unit of measurement (if they are different, it will instead show "Multiple UM"):

Filtering Line Items

You also have the ability to filter line items specific to what you are looking for in this view, like Source (if they were added in the Quantity Take-off, UPC, Unit Mix, etc.), Use Groups, UniFormat, MasterFormat, etc.

To filter line items, navigate to the far right of the screen and you will see Filters and Columns listed vertically. Click on Filters and this will show you all the available options to choose from within those columns. You are only able to view 6 items in the list at a time. There is a search bar for ease of use if needed.

In the example below, I have opened the Filters tab, then selected Source, unchecked all, and selected "Finish" to filter my line items by:

Pro Tip: Even if you refresh your browser page or go to another section of your estimate, the platform will save your filters so that you don’t have to check them every time.

To remove the filters selected, open the Filters tab once more, remove any text fields and/or check the boxes that need to be shown again:

Note: You can hide and rearrange any of the columns in your line item spreadsheet. To do so, click on the Columns tab on the far right of the screen, then uncheck any columns you do not want shown. To rearrange your columns, you can either drag and drop the columns in the view or on the right hand side, click and hold down the bar icon next to the column names and drag to the position you need them in:
