Canadian Database Hosting
Ediphi runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States. On request, Ediphi can host your company's database in Canada instead. This article explains what that covers, what it doesn't, and how to request it.

What Canadian Database Hosting Is
Every Ediphi customer has their own database holding their projects, estimates, line items, unit prices, GCGRs, and company settings. By default, that database runs in the AWS US East region.
With Canadian Database Hosting, your company's database runs in the AWS Canada (Central) region in Montreal. The Ediphi application connects to it over a private link inside AWS. Your team uses Ediphi exactly as before: same login, same URL, same app.
What Is Hosted in Canada
- Your company's estimating database: projects, estimates, line items, unit prices, GCGRs, sort fields, and company settings.
- Automated backups of that database.
Who Can Request It
Canadian Database Hosting is available on request. We set it up when your company's Ediphi environment is created during onboarding. It is not a self-service setting.
How to Request It
- Contact your Ediphi account representative or contact our support team.
- Share your company's data hosting requirements in writing. The more specific, the better: which data, where it must be stored, and where it may be processed.
- Ediphi will confirm whether Canadian Database Hosting meets your requirements and include it in your agreement.
