Using the Labor Gantt Tab
The Labor Gantt tab is a powerful tool for organizing and managing your project activities, whether for Schedule or GR Labor, throughout the project lifecycle. In this view, you can adjust each staff member’s work schedule directly, in addition to making updates from the Staffing tab. The Labor Gantt displays all phases that have been added in the Staffing tab.
Note: Keep in mind that staff must first be added in the Staffing tab before their associated phases and assignments appear in the Labor Gantt view.

Linking Activities
In the Labor Gantt tab, you can link your Schedule activities to your Staff/Crew to better align when workers are scheduled. These are called relationships and can be edited through this view.
- After creating a Schedule Activity, it will show up as a blue line in the Gantt view.
-
The Duration is important in showing how long this activity will be active on the project. The longer the duration, the longer your activity line will be in the Gantt view.

-
To link or create relationships between Activities and Staff/Crew, you can click into the Schedule Activity line, then with the arrows, you can align start and finish dates to the Staff/Crew that will be working on these activities.

- If you edit the start and finish dates for staff in Labor Gantt by using the arrows or adjusting the duration, this will retroactively update the dates in the Staffing tab.
- After you connect activities to the Staff/Crew, these will now be linked and a relationship has been formed.
-
To see the relationships you have created, simply click into any Activity line to see yellow arrows. These arrows are connected to the activities in which they are linked.

Labor Gantt Helpful Tips
- Schedule Activities can be created in the Schedule module and the Labor Gantt tab within the GCGRs module. They will show in both views.
- You have the ability to create new Crews via GR Labor Activities and have them show in both the Labor Gantt tab and the GRs Detail tab (these crews will not show in the GR Labor tab and vice versa).
- After creating your Schedule and GR Labor Activities, you have the ability to edit those tasks.
- Right-click the activity line and select Edit Activity.
-
You can also double-click the activity line.

- GR Labor Categories (activity label) created through a GR Labor Activity will show in the GRs Detail tab under the Labor Items section.
- The corresponding line item’s total will be the total value of the crew assigned to the activity (i.e. GR Labor Activity "A" with a 10 day duration has a crew of 1 laborer at a Regular Time rate of $60. This will equal 10 days * 8hr a day * 60).
-
Leads and Lags can be added between Schedule Activities and Staff/Crew via relationships by clicking on the yellow arrows.

- Keep in mind, you will not be able to link certain activities together, such as Staff to GR Labor Activities or Staff to Staff. Ediphi only allows a Schedule Activity relationship to Staff/Crew.
-
Quantity Formulas are accessible in this view. These formulas are tied to estimates if you link the calculations. If the estimate is changed, it will adjust these Schedule Activities that have an active formula.
