Exporting Estimate Bid Packages to Contracting
Note: This feature is only accessible by project Owners and/or account Admins.
Here’s how to export an Estimate into the Contracting section of your project in Ediphi:
- Under the Estimates tab of your project, click on the ellipses icon of the estimate you want to export, then click on Contracting Export.

- Go to the Contracting tab in that project, and you’ll see the newly created bid packages.

Contracting Helpful Tips
- The Contracting Export is a one-time push from the Estimates module to Contracting. Currently, you cannot push data from Contracting to the Estimates module, and there’s no link between the Estimates and Contracting once the export happens.
- If the estimate being exported to Contracting has a GCGR linked to it, we’ll update the Contracting Markups and link that GCGR automatically. Keep in mind that if you later change the GCGR link in your estimate, it won’t update in Contracting; you’ll need to adjust that manually.
- You have the ability to manually create Bid Packages in Contracting via the Add Bid Package button.
To lock all of the Bid Packages/Groups, click on Settings, then select Lock All Bid Groups.

To lock specific Bid Packages/Groups, click on the ellipses on the Bid Group, then select Lock.

Note: Unlock Bid Packages/Groups by following the above steps again.
Note on Cost Formulas in Markups:
If you use Sort Code values in your Estimate Markup formulas, keep in mind that when you run a Contracting Export, those Sort Codes will be converted into Number values. This keeps the formula working correctly within the Schedule of Values.
Because Contracting Markups are not linked back to Estimate Markups, any future changes to the Sort Code in your Estimate won't update automatically. You'll need to manually adjust the number value in the Contracting Markup.
